Heat wave: Health Dept issues advisory

PATIALA:The Health Department has issued a health advisory following an increase in temperature in Patiala.

The Health Department has issued a health advisory following an increase in temperature in Patiala. To minimize the impact of heat wave and to prevent serious ailment or death because of heat stroke, Civil Surgeon Harish Malhotra released the poster regarding heat wave illness. The maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C in Patiala and it could touch 48°C in the coming days.

Civil Surgeon said that such rise in temperature could lead to heat waves illness which results in physiological strain and death. He advised people to avoid going out in the sun.
