Himachal CM’s relative run over by BMW car

Chandigarh: Two youths riding a BMW car sped away after running over Akansh, one of the owners of a club in Sector 9, at today. The incident took place at 6 am. According to sources, the victim is a relative of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

Chandigarh, February 9

Two youths riding a BMW car sped away after running over Akansh, one of the owners of a club in Sector 9, at today. The incident took place at 6 am. According to sources, the victim is a relative of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

Akansh sustained injuries after being run over by the car and was admitted to the PGI where his condition is stated to be serious. The sources said the accused belonged to Punjab.

The names of the accused have been provided to the police. Acting on a complaint, the police have registered a case of attempt to murder at the Sector 3 police station.

Efforts are being made to nab the accused. The sources said the victim had an altercation with a few youths last night. The youths ran their BMW car over the victim.
