Chandigarh, August 25
A motorcyclist was killed after a speeding car hit him on the road separating Sectors 7 and 8 near the Sector 7 petrol pump here today.
Sources said the victim, Brahamdas, was coming from Sector 8 on his Splendor motorcycle when the Volkswagen Polo car heading towards the lake side hit the bike. The victim sustained serious injuries in the mishap and was rushed to a government hospital in the city where he succumbed to his injuries. The car driver has been booked at the Sector 26 police station. — TNS
