Hit by train, man dies

Lalru: A 41-year-old man was killed after he was reportedly hit by a train near Lalru village here on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Lalru. According to GRP sources, they got information that a body was lying on the Ambala-Kalka railway track near Lalru village following which a GRP team went to the spot and took the body in its possession. The GRP sources said the victim was hit by the train while he was crossing the railway track. The victim’s body was handed over to his family members after a postmortem at the Civil Hospital, Dera Bassi. OC
