Hit by truck, pedestrian dies

Chandigarh, March 20

A pedestrian died after a truck hit him near the railway bridge at the Industrial Area, Phase I, late on Monday evening. In his complaint to the police, Ajay Kumar of Dadu Majra Colony alleged that a speeding truck hit his brother Monu on a slip road near the railway bridge. The driver fled the spot leaving the truck behind.  The victim was rushed to the GMCH-32 where doctors declared him brought dead.  A case has been registered. —TNS
