Chandigarh, April 18
After Haryana and Punjab, the Chandigarh Administration has also declared a public holiday on April 19 on account of Mahavir Jayanti. Earlier, the holiday was notified for April 20. The holiday will be observed in government offices/boards/corporations/institutions under the Chandigarh Administration and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. All e-Sampark centres, kiosks and Gram Sampark centres will also remain closed on April 19.
