Draw of numbers in April first week

A week after the allotment of plot numbers to the applicants in two housing scheme, the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is all set to hold the draw of numbers for the  IT City 750 Residential Plots Scheme in the first week of April. 

Confirming the development, GMADA Chief Administrator Ravi Bhagat said the preparations for the draw were on. “We will hold the draw for two categories of plots — 300 sq yd and 500 sq yd — in the first week of April. The draw of numbers for the plots of 256 sq yd will be held later,” said Bhagat.

 It is to be noted that the draw would be held for 157 plots of 300 sq yd and 295 plots of 500 sq yd. The number of plots of 256 sq yd is 226. 

The draw of number for 256 sq yd plots was being delayed due to certain technicalities, including the procurement of some development clearances, said the official.

As per the GMADA authorities, the scheme was launched in October 2016 under which the ‘letters of allotment’ have to be issued after a span of three years.

 “Now we are ready to give the ‘letters of allotment’ after some days of the draw of numbers, which is going to be held within 17 months of launch of the scheme,” said Bhagat.
