KBDAV-7, Chandigarh


KBDAV-7, Chandigarh, celebrates its customary recognition day for its young learners. HR Gandhar, Advisor to the President, DAV CMC, New Delhi, was the chief guest on the occasion. A spectacular show was put up by young performers who sensitised the audience to the need for 'save water', 'save trees', 'save girl child'. Prizes were given away to achievers of Classes VIII, IX and X.

Bhavan Vidyalaya

A freshers' party for students of Class XI was organised by Class XII at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. The theme was 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. Anjali Bhardwaj and Uday Veer Singh were crowned Miss Fresher and Mr Fresher, respectively. Agrita Arora was declared Miss Charming and Shiwam Malhotra was adjudged Mr Dashing. Bula Kalra bagged the title of Ms Elegant and Kanishk Chabbra Mr Debonair.

AKSIPS-45

As an endeavor to infuse patriotism in children, a lecture on "War Heroes" was held at AKSIPS-45, Chandigarh, wherein students learnt about the life and struggle of various Indian leaders such as Rani Laxmi Bai, Bhagat Singh etc.

St Joseph’s

Among 55 schools, St Joseph's Shreya Chawla, a student of Class X, got first position in the tricity in the inter-school declamation contest organised at St Stephen's Senior Secondary School, Sector 45, Chandigarh. The contest was organised by the Sahayta Charitable Welfare Society on 'Harmful effects of tobacco'. Shreya told audience about harmful effects of smoking.

AKSIPS-41

An interactive session on environment and 3R's was held at AKSIPS-41, Chandigarh. Ravinder Nathh, master trainer, Drug and Environment (SIRD, Mohali) took this session. Students and teachers from Kajheri Government School and parents from AKSIPS-41 were united in this talk. Parents also gave their suggestions on how to save the deteriorating environment.

Mount Carmel, Mohali

Students of Class IV of Mount Carmel School, Mohali, went on an educational visit to an organic farm. Students sowed seeds of black pulse and corn in the farm. Farm owner Grewal told students about the farm and plants. 

St Soldier

The bhog of Sri Akhand Path was solemnised on Monday followed by kirtan and langar at St Soldier School, Mohali, to mark the silver jubilee celebrations. The campus was decorated with balloons, silver buntings and flowers.

The British School, P’kula

Geetika Sethi, Director, The British School, Panchkula, has been honoured by Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on the occasion of inauguration of the International Women Cricket Championship-2018 for her contribution in the field of education and sports. Sethi is running a cricket academy on the school premises. Solanki congratulated Geetika Sethi for her support and active participation in the Sports Education in Haryana. TNS
