Khattar’s aide arrested in accident case

Chandigarh, May 24

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s IT consultant Dhruv Majumdar was arrested on Thursday. A car allotted to Majumdar had critically injured a 26-year-old delivery boy on Tuesday at the Sector 3/4 roundabout.

According to DSP Krishan Kumar, “Majumdar admitted that he was driving the vehicle at that time.” He said he was arrested, but later released on bail.

The victim, Satnam Singh, works with Zomato and stays in Nayagaon. His family is from Moga. He was returning from work in Sector 9 when a speeding Hyundai Sonata coming from the Capitol Complex side hit him around 11.20 pm.

The police had initially registered a case against an unidentified person and were probing who was driving the car. Satnam had received head injuries and was admitted to the PGI where he is recovering now. — TNS
