Man arrested for outraging minor’s modesty

The police have arrested Devinder Singh, a resident of Allapur village, who used criminal force to outrage the modesty of a 13-year-old girl belonging to a nearby village.

He was produced in a local court on Wednesday from where he has been remanded in one-day police custody.

Investigating officer in the case Raj Pal said the girl’s father had complained to the police that on April 21, Devinder entered into the school of his daughter and forcibly pulled her from her arm. He threatened her to go with him otherwise he would kill him.

Meanwhile, the class in-charge teacher also reached the spot and caught the accused but he managed to escape. A case has been registered. — OC
