Panchkula:The Panchkula police have booked a resident of Amravati Enclave for allegedly thrashing his wife and daughter here on Wednesday.



Panchkula:The Panchkula police have booked a resident of Amravati Enclave for allegedly thrashing his wife and daughter here on Wednesday. The police said that the accused is identified as Ashwini Kumar (37), who works as a wholesale dealer. He was booked after his wife Anita lodged a complaint at the local police post.

Victim in her complaint has alleged that Ashwini used to thrash her and their 12-year-old daughter often. She told the police that she got married to him 12 years ago and since then he used to assault her several times. On Wednesday, the accused assaulted both of them , victim told cops. The police said a case was registered under Section 323, 506, 342 of the Indian Penal Code.—TNS
