Man booked for raping Class VI student

The Kharar police have booked a married person for kidnapping and raping a 12-year-old girl on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Honey, alias Harry, a resident of Kharar. 

According to Avtar Singh, Head Constable and investigating officer, the accused had allured the vicstim, a Class VI student, on September 18 and took her to some unidentified place near some overhead water tank in the area.  

“The victim returned home yesterday. On the complaint of the victim’s father, we have booked the accused, who is yet to be arrested,” said Head Constable Avtar Singh.  A case under Sections 363, 366A and 376 of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
