The New Delhi branch of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a local resident with skins of four leopards worth crores here late last night.
Sources said the accused had been identified as Munni Ram. They said he was a big smuggler and supplied the skins in Delhi.
The accused used to trap animals in the jungle
areas of Morni and Panchkula. Munni Ram had contacts with several businessmen in Delhi.
He also had middlemen who facilitated his meetings with clients. CBI sleuths now plan to track the people with whom he had contacts.
