The water crisis continued for the third consecutive day in the city as residents did not receive normal supply today also.
The residents living on the upper floors of the houses and the housing societies were the worst hit as they did not receive water.
While the officers of the Municipal Corporation claimed to have rectified the breakage that occurred in the two pipelines of phase IV of the Kajauli Waterworks, the normal supply was yet to be started. Sunil, a resident of Sector 44- D, said there was no water supply in his house, which was on his second floor, for the last three days. He said he did not get proper response from the officials when he told them about the problem. He said he did not receive any tanker despite making call to the officers. Major RS Gujral, president, Welfare Association, Sector 35, said the sector was facing water problem for many days. There are complaints of muddy water too in the area. Another resident of the Sector 44 said, the pressure of the water was low on the upper floor.
