City Mayor Poonam Sharma on Friday decided to form a committee of councillors and officers to prepare a detailed report regarding the stray dog menace within three days.
The same team will meet Maneka Gandhi, Minister for Women and Child Development, for discussing the issue regarding the dog menace in Chandigarh.
Maneka Gandhi on Friday gave an appointment to the Mayor. The meeting is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on April 1.
The Mayor visited all areas of Mani Majra in the evening where the Municipal Corporation organised an anti-rabies vaccination camp. As many as 82 dogs were vaccinated in and around Shanti Nagar, Maadiwala town, Pipliwala town and other areas of Mani Majra.
