Chandigarh: The medical committee of the MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36, organised a health check-up camp for workers employed in the college canteen, mess and shops.



Chandigarh: The medical committee of the MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36, organised a health check-up camp for workers employed in the college canteen, mess and shops. Around 40 workers were examined by a team of experts from Healing Touch Hospital. which conducted various tests. 

Awareness drive

 The NSS unit of DAV College, Sector 10, on Saturday joined hands with the GMSSS, Dhanas, to spread the message of making India clean and green. An awareness rally was organised at markets and colonies of Dhanas. A poster-making competition was organised in the school on the same theme and the winners were awarded prizes by the school and college NSS programme officers. A nukkad natak was also staged to highlight the importance of clean surroundings.

Dubsmash 

A dubsmash contest where top five winners stand a chance of winning a 4G-enabled handset worth Rs 20,000 is being organised by Vodafone at city colleges. To participate in this contest, students need to create and upload their bubsmash video on Facebook or Twitter along with the hashtag ‘#vodafonestar. The top five most liked entries will qualify for the prize. TNS
