Nabha, February 21
Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his promise of doubling the income of farmers by 2022, Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot here today said the PM was befooling the farmers.
Dharamsot said during the last Lok Sabha elections, Modi had promised to deposit Rs 15 lakh in the accounts of people after bringing back the black money after coming to power.
He said more than four years had already passed, but not a single penny had been deposited and instead, heavy taxes had been levied, making it difficult for people to make both ends meet. Commenting on a viral video in which a waiter had been seen arguing with the Bains brothers, Dharamsot said the Bains brothers were making false allegations to take political mileage. — TNS
