CHANDIGARH: Despite officials claiming that the repair work at the Kajauli waterworks has been completed, low water pressure was reported from many parts of the city.

Despite officials claiming that the repair work at the Kajauli waterworks has been completed, low water pressure was reported from many parts of the city.

The Municipal Corporation received more than 280 complaints regarding this. As many as 109 water tankers were sent to different parts of the city.

Those living in the southern sectors were the worst hit. Those living in colonies and villages also faced a shortage of water.

Residents of Colony No. 4 have not been getting proper supply for over a week. Shashi Shankar Tiwari, a resident of the area, said the tubewell installed in the area had not been working to the full capacity. Residents of the Raipur Khurd, Kishangarh and Khudda Ali Sher have also been hit. They lacked proper water supply for the past 10 days. The residents said they were not being provided water despite paying bills regularly. Residents of Sectors 45 and 46 said the water supply did not reach on upper floors.
