Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Manbir Singh on Friday suspended an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), who was caught demanding bribe in a video from the staff at a liquor vend in Sector 5 on Diwali. The video had gone viral on the social media.
DCP Manbir Singh said an FIR had been lodged against ASI Jagdish at the Sector 5 police station.
On the Diwali night, he was videographed taking bribe under the influence of liquor. The staff at the liquor vend had alleged that he threatened them after they refused to give him money. The ASI has been arrested and will produced in a court tommorrow.
