Panchkula once again outclassed Mohali and Chandigarh in the overall pass percentage in Class X Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results in the tricity. Last year too, Panchkula had topped the chart with a pass percentage of 99.36. After finishing third in the Class XII CBSE results in the tricity, Chandigarh repeated its performance even in Class X results declared today.

Panchkula has scored a pass percentage of 99.85, while Mohali and Chandigarh were placed second and third, scoring a pass percentage of 97.11 and 95.99, respectively. Last year too, Panchkula topped the chart with 99.36 pass percentage. Mohali and Chandigarh finished second and third with 98.50 and 93.62, respectively. Interestingly, girls outshone boys in Panchkula, Mohali and Chandigarh. Like Class XII results, Panchkula girls got the better of boys. The eves have scored 100 per cent pass percentage in the district while boys have fetched a pass percentage of 99.76. Mohali girls secured 98.94 as total percentage while boys have scored a percentage of 95.85. Even in Chandigarh, the fairer sex got the lead with 96.41 pass percentage even as the boys remained at 95.64. A total of 3,288 students appeared for the examination in Panchkula. In Chandigarh, 17,172 students appeared and in Mohali, 3,007 children took the exams.
