Panchkula, December 25
Keeping a track of safai karamcharis and supervisors has always been a tedious task in Panchkula. But now, the Municipal Corporation (MC) has found a solution. It is using technology to keep tabs on them.
MC Commissioner Rajesh Jogpal said they were using Google camera pictures thorough WhatsApp groups to ensure their attendance. “ They have been asked to post pictures taken before and after the cleanliness work,” he said.
“Sanitary inspectors will also present reports on a regular basis about the sanitation work,” he added. Jogpal further added that the Government had planned a solid waste management project for Panchkula and the Naraingarh cluster. A tender has been floated and the site for it has been identified at Jhuriwala in the district.
