In the evening, a formal inauguration took place where the official PECFEST song and a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the work put in by organising members were launched.

PECFEST promises popular celebrities, musicians, speakers, and technical experts, all in a single package. Many established industrialists will be holding workshops, and TEDx speakers and technical experts will be conducting sessions for the students.

Bollywood actor and director Farhan Akhtar will perform at PECFEST on October 28. The institute has been bringing major celebrities to the campus every year, with the help of the contribution from management funds. Last year, Bollywood musician Amit Trivedi performed. In 2015, musician duo Vishal-Shekhar gave a performance.
