Patiala, January 16

Two BJP leaders from Patiala, along with their supporters, today joined the Congress. The Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Patiala, president and vice-president, Charanjit Singh Mangi and Meeta Samana, respectively, joined the Congress in presence of Patiala MLA Preneet Kaur.

Welcoming the leaders in the Congress, Preneet said the Congress would surely emerge victorious in the Punjab elections.

Mangi and Samana said because of hardships being faced by the people on account of demonetisation and alleged corrupt practices in the Bharatiya Janata Party, they decided to quit.

Both the leaders assured Preneet that they would work hard to strengthen the Congress.

They also announced to aggressively campaign for the Congress candidates in Patiala district.
