Minister for Welfare of SCs and BCs Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said here today that the Congress would end ‘capitalist rule’ to give relief to the people.

During an informal meeting with the media, he said the SAD-BJP government had looted the people by supporting capitalists making the life of people very difficult. To fill their coffers, the SAD leaders had controlled sand, cable and transport trades.

The government was formulating new policies to uplift the living standards of the poor people, he said.

The minister said that he had directed officials of his department to submit a report within 15 days on the status of scholarships, books and pensions distributed among SCs and BCs in the state during the past 10 years of the SAD-BJP rule. Action would be taken against the officials who were found guilty, he warned.

On cases against innocent persons, Dharamsot said action would be taken against police officials guilty of atrocities on the people.

On farm debt waiver, he said the poll promises would be fulfilled at any cost by bringing the state on the right financial track.
