Chandigarh, October 31

The Pre-Winter Bowling Tournament will be organised from November 1 to 29 at SMAAASH Centres in Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Jamshedpur and Raipur. Amit Singh, Cluster Head Punjab, said that the tournament will be organised in three categories -- below 16 years, women and open — and the winners will be awarded prizes of Rs 1 lakh.

“This is the second edition of the tournament. In the first edition, we received over 1100 entries and this year we are expecting around 2000 entries. We are also planning to organise an international professional bowling tournament to make bowling popular among youngsters,” said Amit.  Team Chandigarh won the last year’s edition.
