Suffering from diabetes since the age of 7, Naumika Khanna of Delhi Public School scored 95.4% marks in humanities.

When she was 15, she faced the onslaught of epilepsy that took toll on her. It went to the extent of uncontrollable epileptic attacks, where medication went up to 13 anti-epileptic drugs and 4 injections a day.

What took her ahead to sit for the exams was her sheer merit and determination. Despite all 

challenges, Naumika has always been an edge 

over the others excelling in both academics 

and extra-curricular activities.

Naumika Khanna is definitely an inspiration for many, said her school.

Naumika Khanna credits her success to her family and teachers who have always supported her. She aspires to become a clinical psychologist.

Determination pays off

Tushar, a student of commerce stream at Shishu Niketan School, Sector 

22, deserves special mention.  Having discovered that there was a 

clot in his brain, he had the courage to postpone his surgery for three months as he wanted to appear for the board Examination. His determination and hard work 

paid as he scored 91.6 per cent marks in the examinations.
