Mohali, September 20
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is all set to upgrade the the electricity infrastructure in Mohali under the Re-accelerated Power Development Reforms Programme. The existing infrastructure was built 20 years ago. The PSPCL will spend Rs 40 crore on it.
The upgrade of the old conductor of the existing power lines is being undertaken along with the bifurcation of the existing 11kV feeders to improve the voltage level and the augmentation of the overloaded transformers.
New transformers have been proposed. Meter shifting outside consumers’ premises is being undertaken to reduce instances of power theft. — TNS
