Four trains were delayed by 20 to 30 minutes here today due to waterlogging in the Chandigarh railway station area and at Dappar.
Trains, including Kalka Shatabdi, Una-New Delhi Janshatabdi Express, Saharanpur-Chandigarh Link Express and Amritsar Intercity Express were delayed on Saturday as water clogged the railway tracks at Dhappar and in the Chandigarh railway station area after the rain.
According to Dinesh Kumar, Division Railway Manager, the railway staff rushed to the spot and pumped out water within a few minutes. “There was a delay of 20 to30 minutes in the schedule of four trains, but the rest were on time,” said the DRM.
