Rape victim’s father assaulted

The mother of a rape victim alleged that accomplices of the accused thrashed her husband. She said some of the villagers rescued him. They also threatened him with dire consequences if the matter was reported to police. 

While narrating the incident, she allegged that her nine-years-old daughter, who was not feeling well due to fever on Friday, had gone to take medicine from the village doctor at 10 am when she was intercepted by accused Bhag Singh, who took her to his house close to Khera Mandir and raped her. “The family of the accused is also pressuring to go for a compromise in the case,” alleged the victim’s mother.

The victim’s family hails from Muradabad (UP) and has been living in Kherawali village for the past 20 years.
