Chandigarh, May 30
A man was stabbed by his son at Sector 29 after he refused to give him money. The victim has been admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32.
According to the police, Sham Lal, a resident of Dector 29-B, alleged that his son, Sunil, stabbed him at their house yesterday.
The police said the father and son had an altercation after the latter asked for money. “The father refused to give him money. Angered over this, the son stabbed him,” said a police official.
Sources said the victim’s condition was stable.
A case under Section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the IPC has been registered against the victim’s son at the Industrial Area police station. He has been arrested.
