Relief to employees of aided schools

CHANDIGARH: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended the Punjab Privately Managed Recognised Schools Employees (Security of Service) Act, 1979, to Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, May 25

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended the Punjab Privately Managed Recognised Schools Employees (Security of Service) Act, 1979, to Chandigarh.

MP Kirron Kher in a press statement said with the approval of notification, around 250 employees of seven aided schools of the UT would be benefited in terms of their security of service and their pension would also increase, which is presently below Rs 4,000 per month.

Kher thanked the MHA and officials of the UT Administration for fulfilling the long-pending demand of employees of aided schools by extending this Act to Chandigarh.
