Robbery at liquor vend

Chandigarh, January 10

Six miscreants reportedly robbed Rs 15,000, a mobile phone and a POS machine from a liquor vend in Sector 47 late tonight. The robbers came in a Bolero jeep bearing  a registration number of Punjab. Prince, owner of the liquor vend, informed the police, who rushed to the spot.

The police flashed the registration number of the jeep. "The robbers, who used to supply chicken at the liquor vend, had some dispute with the liquor vend owner. We are verifying whether the cash was robbed," said an official. — TNS
