Rs 2.5 lakh looted from petrol station

PANCHKULA: At least six robbers looted Rs 2.5 lakh from a petrol station near Raipur Rani here today. They also took away a motorcycle and two mobile phones of employees while fleeing from the spot.

At least six robbers looted Rs 2.5 lakh from a petrol station near Raipur Rani here today. They also took away a motorcycle and two mobile phones of employees while fleeing from the spot.

The victims, Ashu and Gaurav, employed at the Tripti filling station at Jaspur village, told the police that two youths reached the petrol station at around 9 pm and overpowered them at gunpoint. They bolted them inside a cabin at the petrol station and took away Rs 2.5 lakh, a motorcycle and two mobile phones.

Soon, four of their accomplices reached the petrol station and all of them fled from the spot after committing the crime.

After some time, Ashu and Gaurav managed to free themselves and informed the manager of the petrol station and the police. Senior police officials rushed to the spot.
