Rs1.35 lakh snatched from man, 3 held

CHANDIGARH: Three persons have been arrested for snatching a bag containing Rs 1.35 lakh from a person in Sector 34.



Chandigarh, August 22 

Three persons have been arrested for snatching a bag containing Rs 1.35 lakh from a person in Sector 34. 

Complainant Shyam Lal, a resident of Burail village, had reported that three persons snatched his bag containing the cash, ATM cards and important documents near the petrol pump in Sector 34.

The victim stated that he was returning from Apni Mandi on an Activa scooter when the three persons accosted him.  The accused snatched the bag from him. While two of the accused managed to flee, the third one was nabbed by the victim. 

The accused was identified as Vijay, a resident of Burail village.  The police were informed about the incident, who rushed to the spot and arrested Vijay. 

Later, the remaining two accused in the case -- Rohit of Toga village in Mohali district and Deepak of Dhanas village -- were arrested. —TNS
