From October 3, the airport will remain closed on Sundays. On the remaining days, the flight timings will be from 5 am to 4 pm.

An official at Chandigarh International Airport Limited said the new schedule would be finalised in a few days.

The flight operations of Indigo, Air India, SpiceJet and Jet Airways will be affected with some flights rescheduled or cancelled.

An official from Jet Airways said they had submitted a revised schedule for approval.

He said, “The flights departing to Delhi at 7.40 pm and 9.35 pm may be discontinued in the new slots. We have received confirmation for four flights to Delhi, one to Mumbai and one to Jaipur. We are awaiting approval for two flights that currently depart at 6.05 pm to Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.”

An Air India official said the timings for the international flight to Bangkok were yet to be finalised. He added, “In the revised schedule that we have sent, the international flight to Sharjah will depart at 3.20 pm instead of 5.45 pm. The timings of the flight to Delhi and Leh will remain unchanged. The flight to Leh will depart on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flight to Mumbai will depart at 3.30 pm and the flight to Pune will take off at 9.10 pm.”
