Music lovers of the city thronged the Sector 17 Plaza as iconic Sufi maestro Satinder Sartaj weaved a spell with his performance on the concluding day of the three-day music festival here on Saturday.

The event was organised by the Chandigarh Tourism Department and The Tribune was the media sponsor.

Sartaj was honoured by Arun Kumar Gupta (IAS), Home Secretary, UT, before he took the stage to perform his hit song, Sayin saadi faryaad tere tayin. As the song requests poured in from the audience, he obliged with more hits such as Beet jaaniyan ye ruttan.

Singer, lyricist, composer and actor Sartaj kept the audience in a good humour and shared his love for the city.

He also doled out Sab ton sohni hundi e masumiat, Tere vaastey ve sajna, Sajan raaji ho jaave, and Cheerey walea.
