Students of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, Chandigarh, participated in the Roller Skating Championship held at Decathlon.

Students of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, Chandigarh, participated in the Roller Skating Championship held at Decathlon. The championship was organised by the Roller Panther Skating Academy. Josephites brought laurels to the school by winning various medals. Samaira (Kg), Sehaj (I), Shivam (VII) and Sumit (X) won gold and silver medals. Aagam (VI) won two silver medals while Lavya (I) got bronze medal.

St Soldier International

A presentation was given by students of Class X on water conservation at St Soldier International School, Chandigarh. To highlight the need for sustainable management of water resources, Rahul spoke about the limitation of available water that keeps ecosystems thriving and feeds a growing human population. A skit was presented to highlight the plight of man’s existence with limited water and the need to realise how to save water to maintain continuity of life on earth. This was followed by a lyrical contemporary dance performance on the song, “Jal De”, which aptly essayed the theme.

The British School, P’kula

A fortnight full of fun and enjoyment in the form of “Summer Explorama-2018” concluded amidst great fanfare at The British School, Panchkula. Children learnt new techniques of art and craft with recyclable waste such as plastic bottles, fruit boxes and cereal boxes. They learnt stage craft, including voice modulation, expression, stage presence and interaction with the audience. The students also had fun indulging in board games, splash pool, music and dance.

Gurukul Global, Mani Majra

Students gathered information regarding change in temperature and rainfall and represented it through graphs to highlight the changing weather phenomenon in India in the past five years. Similarly, students of the partner school, Asra School of Excellence in Afghanistan, gathered information regarding climatic change in their country as a result of global warming and represented it through graphs. The students collected information on ways and means being adopted in their countries to reduce their contribution towards global warming and create a newsletter. Common newsletter was put up on the school website of both countries. TNS
