MOHALI:A schoolteacher allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Sector 70 here.

A  schoolteacher allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Sector 70 here.

Mahesh Saini, SHO of the Matour police station, said today that Hardeep Kaur (29) allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan in a room on the third floor of her house. She worked as a teacher at Shivalik Public School, Sector 41, Chandigarh.

The SHO said no suicide note was recovered from the room. He said her parents had told the police that Hardeep Kaur was depressed as efforts to get her married off had not been successful.
