CHANDIGARH:GGDSD College, Sector 32, defeated Sri Guru Gobind Singh (SGGS) College, Sector 26, by 25 runs in the ongoing PU inter-college cricket championship here today.

GGDSD College, Sector 32, defeated Sri Guru Gobind Singh (SGGS) College, Sector 26, by 25 runs in the ongoing PU inter-college cricket championship here today. 

Batting first SD College scored 225/9 in 40 overs, with opener Ayush Gautam scoring a 68-ball 71. Vishu Kashyap hit an unbeaten 65, while Nikhil Thakur added 54 runs to the total. 

For the bowling side, Rohit claimed three wickets, while Angad accounted for two wickets. 

In reply, SGGS boys were bowled out for 200 runs in 38 overs. Harpreet Brar claimed three wickets for SD College, while Nipun Pathania took two wickets. 

For SGGS, Gagan scored 46 off 61 balls, while Mohit contributed 29 runs to the total. 

In the second match, DAV College, Sector 10, registered a seven-wicket win over BKSC, Muhar. 

Batting first, the visitors were all out for 165 runs. Palwinder Singh scored a 44, while Gagandeep Singh chipped in 22 runs. 

For the bowling side, Sagar claimed three wickets, while Amit and Himanshu grabbed two wickets each. 

In reply, DAV boys reached home in 10 overs with the Ankit smashing 71 off 56 balls. Arjit hit a 48-ball 50, while Sagar made 23 off 27 balls.
