Mohali, January 17

High drama was witnessed on the local court premises when heated arguments were exchanged between Seerat Kaur, key accused in the case of murder of her husband Aikom Singh Dhillon, and her brother-in-law Darshan Singh Dhillon (Aikom’s younger brother) here this afternoon.

According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred in front of the court “bakshikhana”, in which Seerat was lodged during the case proceedings today.

The eyewitness claimed that Darshan Singh was coming out of the court when Seerat issued threats to him following which heated arguments were exchanged between the duo in the presence of the police deputed at the “bakshikhana”.

Darshan Singh alleged that police personnel did not say anything to Seerat and instead asked him and his father to go away.

Later, Darshan Singh submitted a complaint in this regard to Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Singh Chahal. In his complaint, Darshan Singh also alleged that the policemen present at the spot misbehaved with him and his father.

Darshan Singh appeared before the court on Wednesday and recorded his statement as a witness. The court directed the police to produce the BMW car, in which the accused allegedly tried to put the suitcase stuffed with Aikom’s body, on the next date of hearing, slated for January 24.
