Directing officials to send a proposal for a new site, Punjab Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu today ordered that the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) site here be shifted.

Sidhu gave a patient hearing to local residents and councillors. He directed officials of the Nagar Panchayat to solve all problems raised by people in a time-bound manner. He directed the Executive Officer to make a plan of all development works to be carried out in Nayagaon in the coming year so that work could be started on time.

The Local Bodies Minister asked the officials to ensure transparency by displaying every detail of ongoing development works on flex boards.
