Haryana Kala Parishad and Daya Drishti Rang Manch presented a play in Hindustani at Tagore Theatre here today. It was based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky's story 'White Nights'.
Dramatised and directed by KNS Sekhon, the play was a poetic imaginative creation of the writer with an intellectual content. It revealed various aspects of love, loneliness and spectrum of human.
Initially slow paced, the play dealt with human emotions which cultivate in us a desire for establishing relationships. The play opens in a serene ambiance with protagonist Nastenka ( Mandeep), an innocent charming girl, and the unknown dreamer ( Aditya Sharma). They got attracted to each other and were engaged in meaningful conversation, exploring the psychological state of affairs of their minds on love and affection. —OC
