When Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech were getting ready to leave for Fatehgarh Sahib to tie the knot, it got pretty chaotic at the hotel they were staying in. It all started with the rumours of Yuvraj waiting for his father. And then, the rumours of MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar attending the function started doing the rounds. Soon, the waiting media persons and the bouncers got into an argument, which thankfully didn’t get out of hand.
Besides media, the police personnel and the fans were also waiting to catch a glimpse of the couple since morning. Their wait finally got over at 3pm — Hazel came out dressed in a beautiful maroon lehenga attire, matching Yuvraj’s sherwani.
The couple, which was scheduled to leave for Fatehgarh Sahib around 12pm, finally left at 3.10pm. Hazel left the venue in a turquoise colour Audi, while Yuvi, accompanied by his mother, left in his brand new Mercedes.
Yuvi’s younger brother Zorawar Singh was having a ball clicking pictures and dancing to the tunes of Dholis.
He was accompanied by cricket presenter Gaurav Kapoor and a few relatives. “It’s a special moment for all of us,” said Zorawar. Yuvraj, too, shook a leg in the hotel gallery before leaving for Fatehgarh Sahib. “It’s good to see a perfect player starting a new innings after battling cancer. He is a gem of a person,” said Prerna Arora, Yuvi’s fan. After the ceremonies, the couple reached at their new house at Mansa Devi Complex, Sector 4, at 8pm. According to Yuvi’s close relatives, the couple is expected to live here.
