Chandigarh, August 21

Not worrying about getting drenched in rain, UT SSP (Traffic) Shashank Anand hit the road to regulate traffic and take stock of the situation at various intersections. The SSP spent almost four hours on city roads to ensure minimum inconvenience to commuters.

Around 8.30 am, the UT SSP (Traffic) was about to leave for office when he got information about the downpour leading to traffic jams around the city.

The SSP then decided to go out on the roads to gauge the situation. The SSP was seen regulating the traffic at Gurdwara Chowk on Dakshin Marg for over 20 minutes after which he went to Tribune Chowk. The SSP also went to other places, including Madhya Marg. Drenched up to the knees, the SSP kept on shuttling from one intersection to another after getting information about traffic snarls. He spent around four hours on the waterlogged roads, regulating traffic. — TNS
