An all-round performance helped SSCA Strikers beat SSCA Warriors by six wickets in U-12 triangular cricket series being played at St. Soldier’s School here today.

Batting first, Warriors were all out for 113 runs in 25 overs with Sainyam Singla making a brisk 43.

Warriors had a decent start to their innings, but lost two quick wickets after skipper Niyam provided Strikers the initial breakthrough.

Opener Daksh Harjai and Singla started the repair work and were looking good before Kunal broke the partnership, removing Harjai for 15. Singla kept playing his shots and was finally caught and bowled by Vardaan Goel. Bhavya Kapoor contributed 16 runs to the total.

For Strikers, Goel returned with figures of 4/14 while Niyam claimed 3/16.

Needing 114 for victory, Strikers had a cautious beginning with opener Dev Sahoo playing a patient 18-run knock while Harshal Prashar contributed 10 runs to the chase.

Kartik Jindal then made a quick 38 to help the side get closer to the target. Though, Bhavya Kapoor struck twice to give Strikers some anxious moments, Sishir (15 not out) ensured that the side reached the target without any more hiccups.
