Students, who appeared for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) economics re-examination on Wednesday, said the paper was easy as compared to the earlier exam conducted on March 26.
“It was quite an easy paper. I’m hoping for 90 above marks,” said Aishvarya Thakur, a Class XII student of DAV Model School, Sector 15.
Echoing similar views, Kapila Toor, another Class XII student of DAV Model School, Sector 15, said: “I’m glad that the paper was easy. It was our last paper and we are tension free now.”
Another Class XII student Priksha Raik said: “The paper was easier than expected. We wish for lenient marking.”
Khamoshi Kakkar, economics teacher of Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, Panchkula, said: “The paper was balanced and catered to the students with varied learning abilities. It was a mix of simple, straight, reasoning-based and high order thinking skill-based questions. There were some tricky questions and required some deep pondering over by the students. Overall, it was a scoring paper”.
“The question paper was true to the blue print, but some questions were different from the usual pattern. All in all, it tested the conceptual clarity of the students,” says Sameer Kamboj, a teacher at Gurukul Global School in Chandigarh
Kamal, a Class XII student, said: “The paper was long, but I was able finish it well on time. The numerical was really easy but some differences made me think. Overall, I am satisfied by my attempt.
