The Syndicate, on Monday, will decide the penalty to be awarded to assistant prof Komal Singh of public administration department. Singh was twice found guilty of sexual harassment by the PUCASH. After the first complaint, Singh had resigned as the chairperson of the department.

After he was found guilty, the PUCASH had recommended a major penalty. The major penalty includes either of the three punishments. The first is reduction to a lower post or time scale; or to a lower stage in a time scale. The second is removal from service of the university which does not disqualify from future employment. The third is dismissal from service to the university.

It will also discuss on a committee being formed to inquire as to why there has been a delay in implementing the recommendations of the PUCASH. It will also discuss on changing service rules for women in accordance to the sexual harassment of women in workplace (prevention, prohibition, redressal) Act, 2013.
