A theft was committed at a locked house in Aman Homes, Kharar. The complainant, Poonam Sood, who is a film actress, told the Kharar Sadar Police that she went to Mumbai for some project on August 24 and when she returned on August 26, she found the locks of her flat broken.
She said the thieves decamped with a digital safe box carrying gold ornaments, USA dollars and cash. A case under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC has been registered. She had suffered a total loss of about Rs 15 lackh. — OC
