Three bodies found in city

Chandigarh, May 18

Three bodies were found from different parts of the city this morning. The bodies were found in Sector 39, outside the PGI gate and at the Sector 24/25 light point. The police have ruled out any foul play.

According to the police, a man, identified as Bhim Singh, a resident of Sector 39, was found lying near Shahpur Chowk, Sector 39, around 5.30 am. Local residents informed the police. 

The victim was taken to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where doctors declared him brought dead. No injury marks were found on his body. The police said the victim had left for a morning walk. Inquest proceedings have been initiated by the police at the Sector 39 police station. 

Another body of an unidentified man was found around 6 am near the Sector 24/25 light point. Passersby informed the police about the body. The police said efforts were being made to identify the person who seemed to be around 45 years of age.  

The third body of a woman was found around 6.30 am near the PGI Gate No. 2. The victim has been identified as Prem Lata (65), a resident of Shivalik Vihar, Nayagaon. — TNS
