The Railway authorities have decided to divert and short terminate the route of some of the trains from December 4 to 6.
The move has been taken for the construction of a low-height subway in lieu of a level crossing in Lalru on the Ambala-Chandigarh section.
As per the communiqué issued by the Railway authorities, the traffic will be blocked from 10 am on Tuesday and Wednesday for the construction of the subway.
While Delhi-Kalka Passenger (54303) will be short terminated at Ambala, Kalka-Delhi Passenger (54304) with start its journey to Delhi from Ambala and remain partially cancelled from Kalka to Ambala on December 6.
The communiqué further started that New Delhi-Chandigarh Shatabdi Express (12045) will be diverted vial Ambala-Sirhind-Morinda on December 5. Howrah-Kalka Mail (12311) will be diverted. It will reach Chandigarh via Ambala- Sirhind-Morinda on December 4.
Similarly, Chandigarh-Lucknow Express (12232) will be diverted via Mohali-Modinda-Sirhind on December 5. Kalka-Barmer Express will be diverted via Mohali-Morinda-Sirhind and Kalka- Howrah Mail will be diverted via Mohali-Morinda and Sirhind on December 5.
While Chandigarh-Bandra Express will leave the station half-an-hour late at 6.15am on December 6.
